ABOUT KAROO WINGSHOOTING

South Africa is gifted with wild game bird populations of which there are more than fifty species. More than twenty of these species are available as fair game and are shot regularly. These species include the Guineafowl, various Partridge species, Francolin species, eight species of doves and pigeons, Sandgrouse, Quail, various Duck species and Egyptian and Spurwing geese.

Karoo Wingshooting specialises in hunting Greywing Partridge. This is a walk up shoot over pointing dogs and has been described as champagne shooting with the Rolls Royce under the African game birds.

English Pointers are used to locate point and retrieve the birds. Greywing are found in coveys of between 5 and 20 birds. The shoot takes place in the pristine highlands of the Sneeuberg mountain range north of the historic town of Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. The shoot can be described as challenging but it is extremely rewarding to a discerning bird shooter. You can expect to walk in excess of 10 km per day.

• Daily rates and Game fees.
• Decoys, blinds and baiting.
• Transportation on the hunting concession.
• Full board accommodation.
• Pre-hunt surveys.
• Alcoholic beverages in moderation.

EXCLUDES:

• Guns and Ammunition. (Clients must preferably bring their own guns)
• Anything personal in nature.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Karoo Wingshooting cannot be held responsible for any loss/damage/injury before, during or after the contracted hunting period.
• No VAT is applicable.
• No refunds for late arrivals and early departures.
• Gun hire is quotes per gun per day.
• Ammunition is available only by prior notification.
• A 30% non-refundable deposit is due to confirm the booking. The balance is payable a month before arrival.
• Gun Hire and Ammunition account to be settled in full before departure.
